Police Log: Ecstacy Arrest, Driver Drinking From Flask, Overdose

Monday, Dec. 4
At 12:17 p.m., police responded to a Laurel Avenue location for the report of a man attempting to remove old sign posts from the ground. The man told police that he was just leaning on the posts.
At 3:29 p.m., police received a report of a man drinking from a flask while driving a silver pickup truck on Woodbine Avenue. Police responded to the scene and did not locate the vehicle.

Tuesday, Dec. 5
At 1:10 a.m., a 38-year-old Greenlawn man was arrested for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (ecstacy) on Church Street.

At 3:14 p.m., police responded to a Main Street location for the report of a woman possibly overdosing. Officers aided the woman, who was conscious, breathing and alert. She told police she ingested adderall and has ingested opioids in the past. Northport Rescue responded to the scene, treated the woman accordingly and transported her and her parent to Huntington Hospital.
Wednesday, Dec. 6
At 1:07 p.m., police responded to the report of a person choking on the side of the road on Coles Place. The person had cleared his airway by the time police arrived and appeared to be breathing normally.
