Resident Battles Rare Form Of Leukemia, Reaches Out To Community
The family of a young Northport woman undergoing treatment for a rare cancer creates GoFundMe.

Northport, NY— When Chloe Lindberg, 25, of Northport, was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia her sister Remi Lindberg wanted to reach out the community because of her sister's deep longstanding roots and connections in her hometown. Chloe has been hospitalized for the last three weeks, undergoing her second round of chemotherapy. Her three siblings are being tested to see if they are candidates for a needed bone marrow transplant.
Remi told Patch that beyond financial donations, "having Chloe in the community's thoughts and prayers would mean everything to her and her family. She is a big part of the Northport community and loves our beautiful town."
Chloe is a 2012 graduate of Northport High School and has worked at the Northport Public Library for two years. Because of her diagnosis it is unlikely she will be able to work for months or possibly years to come, according to Remi.
