'Sweetheart' Bo: Northport Adoptable Pet Of The Week
Bo, a 2-year-old male cat, loves to be pet. Would you like to help give him his "happily ever after"?

NORTHPORT, NY — Bo, a 2-year-old male, is the Northport Cat Rescue Association's Cat of the Week.
Bo was abandoned in a neighborhood; one that thankfully wanted to help him, said Lora Wild, a volunteer at the rescue, who called Bo a "sweetheart."
"The neighbors banded together, and pooled their money and took him to the veterinarian and started calling rescues," Wild said.

The Northport Cat Rescue Association took Bo in, and he went into foster care, where he proved to be a silly boy with a ton of personality, according to Wild.
"He will make himself comfortable anywhere his people are," she said. "If you want to lay on the couch with him, he will knead and purr non-stop; and he will stay with you until you can’t stay anymore."

Bo does not like other cats, but he does fine with mellow dogs, Wild said.
Bo loves to be pet so much that sometimes when someone stop, he will grab at their hand to keep going.
"For this reason, we do not recommend any young children for Bo," Wild said.
Bo is currently at Petco Huntington, and when the rescue's volunteers show up, he may as well be a little kid that jumps up and down with excitement, Wild said. He runs out for pets, and to play.
"The problem is, poor Bo does not want to go back in his habitat," Wild said. "I mean, what kitty really does? But Bo is exceptionally stubborn. Who would be perfect for this cool cat??? A cat-savvy person or family with time to hang out with this very 'needy for love' kitty. If that sounds like you or if you know someone who would be interested, please share Bo with them! We need to get him out of a caged setting and into his happily ever after!!"

Bo is neutered, has all his shots, is litter box-trained, and micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.
If you are interested in meeting Bo, you may head to the Northport Cat Rescue website and fill out an application to let them know you would like to meet him or any of the rescue's other wonderful kittens and cats! Or you can call NCRA at 631-606-2631 or email info@northportcatrescue.org.
