Community Board 6 Residents: Do You Agree With These Budget Priorities?

The board will vote on this year's list of top budget priorities at its Oct. 13 general meeting.

BROOKLYN, NY — What do you think are the most pressing priorities for your neighborhood?

Community Board 6 represents Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Gowanus, Red Hook and Park Slope. (Side note: here's Patch's interview with CB6 district manager Craig Hammerman.)

Each year, the community board submits a list of budget priorities to the City Council, with the goal of informing the coming year's budget negotiations. (This year's list will be considered next year, as the city sets its 2018 budget.)

The priorities list is informed by conversations the board has had with residents throughout the year, as well as an evaluation of which previous community priorities have, and which have not, been addressed.

CB6's general board will vote on this year's list of budget priorities (for the 2018 budget) at its general meeting on Oct. 13. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the John Jay Educational Campus, located at 237 7th Ave. The meeting is open to the public, and will include a period set aside for public comment.
