3 Nabbed SellingTobacco And Vape Products To People Under 21 In Greater Patchogue Area: Police

They are scheduled to appear in court next month, Suffolk police say.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Three men were arrested in connection with selling tobacco and vape products to people under the age of 21 during compliance checks at multiple businesses in the greater Patchogue area within the 5th Precinct on Monday, Suffolk police said.

Officers from the precinct's Investigative Unit checked four businesses for compliance with laws related to the sale of tobacco products and arrested employees at three of the stores after receiving complaints from the community, according to police.

The following people were charged with second-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor:

  • A 27-year-old from Port Jefferson Station, an employee of Husco Gas Station, located on South Country Road in East Patchogue.
  • A 31-year-old from Islandia, who is an employee of Mo’s My Smoke Shop, located on Route 112 in Patchogue.
  • A 40-year-old from Medford, who is an employee of WildBoyz Smoke Shop, located on Route 112 in Patchogue.

They were issued Desk Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on Dec. 5.
