Cat, Dog Adoptions Free At Brookhaven Shelter Until End Of June

Neutering/spaying, vaccinations, microchips, heartworm, flea, and fecal tests, as well as licenses for dogs, are also included.

BROOKHAVEN, NY — The Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will waive all adoption fees throughout the remainder of June, Supervisor Ed Romaine announced on Wednesday.

Adoptions normally run $137 for a dog and $140 for a cat. All of the adoptions will also include free neutering or spaying, vaccinations, microchips, heartworm, flea, and fecal tests, as well as licenses for dogs.

The shelter is located at 300 Horseblock Rd. in Brookhaven. It is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
