Dunkin' Drive-Thru Opens In Bellport
The business will provide jobs and build on the Montauk Highway corridor revitalization, Brookhaven Town Councilman Michael Loguercio says.
BELLPORT, NY — The Montauk Highway corridor in Bellport is now running on Dunkin.'
The latest location for the franchise known for the tagline, "America runs on Dunkin,'" has opened a drive-thru at the corner of Michigan Avenue and is serving up its signature coffee and pastries. A group of Suffolk County and Brookhaven Town government officials recently gathered with property developer Ben Bathija for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening as "another example of the economic redevelopment" happening along the hamlet's Montauk Highway corridor, town officials said.
Town Councilman Michael Loguercio said the drive-thru's site had been "an eyesore in the community for some time."

"I remember when I first met with Mr. Bathija and discussed the economic redevelopment of this parcel and many others in the area," he said. "We can see the tremendous difference in the before and after pictures. I am happy that we are working with this business to provide jobs to local residents and continuing to build on the revitalization of this corridor."
