Hometown Hero: Local Man Raises Over $18K To Donate To Non-Profit
The owner of a Patchogue videography company had to delay all his job during the pandemic but still worked to help others in need.

PATCHOGUE, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we're working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.
This submission comes from Jessica Frey, who nominated her husband, Robert Frey. Robert is the owner of Mind State Media in Patchogue, a commercial videography company.

According to his wife, during the pandemic when all of his commercial jobs were delayed, Robert pivoted to do first-of-it's-kind virtual fundraisers and raised over $18,000 for local non-profits.
"He's passionate about using his skills to help others in the community," Jessica said. "He was able to adapt during an uncertain time and use his business platform for the greater good."
