LI's Christian Guardino Cracks Top 14 On 'American Idol'
This week, the singer from Patchogue sang "Imagine" by John Lennon and Radiohead's "Creep," and made it through two rounds of cuts.

PATCHOGUE, NY — A young singer from Patchogue continues his star turn in Los Angeles and Hawaii, making it through two more rounds of cuts to become one of 14 finalists on this season's "American Idol."
On Sunday, Christian Guardino sang "Imagine," by John Lennon, bringing judge Katy Perry to tears and prompting judge Lionel Richie to comment on Guardino's inspirational back story. Guardino was born with a congenital condition causing blindness.
“Hearing what you have overcome and the mountains you’ve climbed and the attitude of gratitude that you have, and then you sing ‘Imagine,’ which is a world-changing song,” Perry said after Guardino sang on Sunday.

Guardino, 21, sang "Creep" by Radiohead on Monday night, drawing more praise from the judges.
Guardino will appear next Sunday for his next performance.
