  2. Patchogue-Medford Public Library hosts fun events for cardholders aged 21 and over. The "Booktoberfest" is set for today at the Blue Point Brewery for those who want to enjoy books and beers.   3. A shooting on Tyler Avenue ended with a stray bullet hitting a house. Police reported the incident on Monday at 9:40 p.m. No arrests were made. Police continue to investigate the case. (Patchogue Patch)
