Patchogue-Medford High School Students Receive 13 NYSSMA All-State Honors; 31 NYSCAME All-County Honors
Selected Students to Perform as Members of Acclaimed Ensembles
MEDFORD, NEW YORK—Thirty-one Patchogue-Medford High School students have been recognized on the state and county levels for their outstanding musical talents. Six Patchogue-Medford students received a total of seven selections to perform in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State ensembles, and five students received a total of six selections to serve as alternates. Thirty-one Patchogue-Medford students were named to the New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education (NYSCAME) All-County honors ensembles.
“The Patchogue-Medford School District is proud to support the musical growth and achievements of our students,” said Patchogue-Medford School District Interim Superintendent Lori Cannetti. “It is remarkable that 31 of our students have been named to these exceptional ensembles, which serves as a testament to their remarkable skills and dedication. The District congratulates these students and wishes them the best of luck at the respective performances for NYSCAME and NYSSMA in November and December.”
The students were named to the All-State and All-County ensembles based on their exceptional NYSSMA scores and recommendations from their music teachers. The scholars in the NYSCAME All-County honors ensembles will perform at Hauppauge High School on November 14th. The students selected to the NYSSMA All-State ensembles will participate in the 89th Annual NYSSMA Winter Conference at the Joseph A. Floreano Rochester Riverside Convention Center in Rochester, New York from December 4th to 7th.

“The selected students are among the best 11th- and 12th-grade musicians across New York State,” said Patchogue-Medford School District Director of Art, Music, and Cultural Arts Nathan Brinkman.
