Patchogue Restaurants Team Up For Ukraine Fundraiser Event

Next week's "Taste of Patchogue for Ukraine" will raise funds for Ukrainians, and feature food and beer from Patchogue's local restaurants.

PATCHOGUE, NY — Patchogue's restaurants and bars are teaming up for a good cause next week, when a fundraiser event will raise funds to feed Ukrainian refugees.

The "Taste of Patchogue for Ukraine" event is scheduled for next Wednesday, March 23 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Blue Point Brewery. It's organized by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce's Restaurant Committee, and the proceeds will go to World Central Kitchen, a group helping to feed the millions of Ukrainian citizens displaced by the Russian invasion.

World Central Kitchen was founded by celebrity chef José Andrés, and is a nonprofit that travels to the sites of natural and humanitarian disasters to provide cooked meals to those in need.
