Pedestrian Struck In East Patchogue Monday: Police

The person was crossing Saxon Street just after 8 a.m., Suffolk police say.

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY — A pedestrian was struck crossing the road in East Patchogue on Monday morning, Suffolk police said.

The 41-year-old driver of a 2022 Chevrolet was stopped at the stop sign on Saxton Street when they believed the roadway was clear and tried to make a left-hand turn onto Annanias Avenue, then struck a 40-year-old person who was crossing northbound through the intersection just after 8 a.m., according to police.

The person was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
