Police Release New Details In Search For Vehicle Involved In Hit-And-Run Crash That Injured 2 Teens: PD
Police have determined the model and year of the vehicle.
PATCHOGUE, NY— Police are still searching for the vehicle that left the scene of a hit-and-run crash in North Bellport that left two teens injured Friday — and now, there is new information, officials said.
Major case unit detectives have determined the vehicle that fled the scene of a crash in North Bellport on September 26 is a 2007 to 2017 Jeep Patriot with damage to the front left corner, including the headlight.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place on Station Road at Patchogue Avenue at 9:38 p.m.

The teens were walking eastbound across Station Road at the intersection of Patchogue Avenue, when they were struck by a white SUV driving southbound; the driver then fled south toward Montauk Highway, police said.
One pedestrian, 15, of East Patchogue, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries; another, 14, of Bellport, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk County for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
