Wrestler And 'Go-Getter': Patchogue Star Student

PATCHOGUE, NY — — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

My daughter has maintained over a 3.5 gpa throughout all years in HS, has been senior captain for cheerleading, was first female to make varsity wrestling in bellport history, was invited out of 400 girls in state to attend the first NYS invitational wrestling tournament for girls in Syracuse and place 5th in her weight class, has been on varsity softball for HS since came into HS and was just awarded at the town of Brookhaven for outstanding academic achievement at the annual black history month celebration, attends BOCES for dental hygienist and will go to college wrestling and major in dental hygienist or radiology

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

She is a go getter and had a beautiful soul that will do anything for friends and family
