2 Harrison Residents Cited for Harassing Port Chester Parking Enforcement Officer

Police: Couple who received ticket followed officer, cursed at him, interfered with him as he tried to write more tickets.

A Harrison couple was so upset about getting a parking ticket in Port Chester that they harassed a village parking enforcement officer and tried to interfere as he wrote more parking tickets, according to Port Chester Police.

A 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman from Harrison were charged with obstruction of governmental administration at around noon on Saturday after an incident on North Main Street.

Police said the village parking officer called for assistance after he was cursed at and followed along North Main Street by the couple. Police said the man and woman were told not to interfere with the parking officer, but they continued to follow him.

As a result, both the man and woman were cited for obstructing the parking officer's work. They face a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
