2 Port Chester Men Arrested as Police Break Up Street Fight

Group found fighting on Rectory Street at 1 a.m.

Two men who were part of a group of men found fighting in the street on Rectory Street early Sunday morning were charged with disorderly conduct, according to Port Chester Police.

Police said village police officers saw about eight men fighting in the street at about 1 a.m. and broke up the fight. Village officers told the group to leave the area, however, one of the men refused to leave and got into a scuffle with police.

Police said Edwin Rodriguez, 19, of 29 Clark Place, would not leave, even though a friend tried to take him home. Rodriguez was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

As he was arrested, police said, another member of the group, Christopher Campbell, 19, of 330 S. Regent St., also became involved in a scuffle with village officers. He was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

No one was injured.
