Boston Post Road Lane Closures Coming For 3 Days Next Week

U.S. Route 1 in Westchester County will see roadwork changing traffic patterns and reducing travel lanes during daytime hours.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A busy Westchester highway will see lane restrictions during the upcoming work week.

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) said Westchester County drivers can expect one lane to close along U.S. Route 1 (South Main Street) southbound at Purdy Avenue and Grace Church Street in the Village of Port Chester, beginning Monday. The work will continue through Wednesday.

Traffic disruptions can be expected between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the roadwork, weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in a driver's license suspension.
