Car Fires In Westchester Mall Parking Garage Snarl Morning Commute
Several cars were engulfed at a Port Chester structure causing fire officials to urge drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area.

PORT CHESTER, NY — The Port Chester Fire Department dealt with multiple car fires in the parking garage that serves both both shoppers and Metro-North commuters on Waterfront Place early this morning.
Fire officials said that South Main Street from Westchester Ave. to Purdy Ave. will remain closed until the scene is cleared. Although the fire was put out by crews, an investigation at the scene and in the nearby area continues.
According to initial reports, the fire involved several cars on the second level of the parking structure at 20 Waterfront Place.
