This year's distribution has 697 families registered to receive food for the Thanksgiving holiday

The Port Chester Carver Center is holding its annual Thanksgiving Distribution for Carver Market clients on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm at the Carver Center located at 400 Westchester Avenue in Port Chester, NY. This year’s distribution has 697 families registered to receive food for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“This year’s distribution, providing close to $200 worth of high-quality food each to struggling families, underscores Carver Center's essential role as a central community resource in Port Chester,” said Anne Bradner, Carver Center CEO. “Our commitment extends past groceries; our Case Managers stand ready to help families navigate changing benefits and other critical needs, fulfilling our promise to support our community during these challenging times."

Carver Market clients will be given a choice between a turkey or chicken, and all the Thanksgiving trimmings, including fresh produce, to enjoy for the holiday. During the distribution, clients will be able to walk through and make their selections, maintaining the Carver Market’s model as a self-choice pantry. This year’s distribution is anticipated to distribute $139,400 worth of food to families in need.
