Hit-and-Run Injures New York State Trooper On I-95 In Westchester

State Police ask the public to call 518-436-2825 if you have any information.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A New York State Trooper on the shoulder of I-95 Thursday evening was hit by a vehicle traveling south.

The officer was near mile marker 14.9, walking back to the patrol car at at 8:46 p.m. after removing debris from the roadway, police said.

After hitting the officer, the driver kept going.

The trooper was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. The right and center lanes between Exit 21 and the Connecticut State line were blocked during the on-scene investigation.

State Police are requesting the public to call 518-436-2825 if you witnessed the crash or have any information.
