Lane Closures Expected On Westchester Avenue In Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, NY — Two lanes of Westchester Avenue westbound in Port Chester are expected to see closures.

The state Department of Transportation said two westbound lanes of Westchester Avenue between Abendroth Avenue and Route 1 (North Main Street) in Port Chester are expected to close beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 6.

Times for closures will be between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Movement of equipment is the reason for the closures, weather permitting.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
