PORT CHESTER, NY — A Westchester institution is closing the doors of their lone remaining outpost after nearly four decades in business.

The news came in the form of a somewhat dispiriting social media post.

"To our loyal guests, we wanted you to hear it from us first," the owners told loyal customers Wednesday morning. "This will be Mary Ann's Mexican Restaurant's last two weeks of business as we will not be renewing our lease at the end of the month. Please come in an join us one more time before we close for good! From our family to yours, thank you to all who have supported us throughout the decades! We are open today for dinner from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. We hope to see you all. Cheers!"

Mary Ann's touts its margarita recipe as being "attempted by many, but duplicated by none." Hopefully, the secrets of the much-discussed margarita won't be lost to history when the popular eatery closes its doors for good in a few weeks.
