Multi-Car Fatal Crash Closes I-287 At Rye Brook
State Police say all eastbound lanes remain closed. The multi-vehicle rush hour collision involved a cement truck.

RYE BROOK, NY — A serious multi-vehicle crash involving a cement truck has caused traffic backups across the area, according to New York State Police.
The traffic collision was reported just after 8:30 this morning near mile marker 9.5, between exits 10 and 11 in Rye Brook. New York State Police say all eastbound lanes remain closed and cars are being diverted to exit 10 for Purchase/Port Chester. Motorists are being advised seek alternate routes if possible.
Emergency crews from Port Chester, Rye Brook and Harrison have responded to the scene.

The multi-vehicle pileup left at least two people dead according to a report from New York City-ABC News-affiliate WABC.
