Obituary: Mary Elizabeth Cindrich, former United Hospital Nurse
Supervising nurse of the Cardiology Unit at Westchester Medical Center.

Mary Elizabeth Cindrich died on on March 27, 2013.
Mary was born in Brooklyn, NY, and grew up in Virginia and Rye, NY. She graduated from Resurrection Academy in Rye and was a graduate of Grasslands School of Nursing.
Mary received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Mercy College and her Master's Degree in Nursing from Iona College. She was devoted to her family and her work and was the supervising nurse of the Cardiology Unit at Westchester Medical Center.

She was a skilled emergency room nurse, having worked at United Hospital in Port Chester until the hospital closed. Ritz, (as her family and friends fondly referred to her), was a loving sister and aunt. The most important thing to her was her family.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, John Joseph and Mary Agnes Cindrich and her brother Stephen. She is survived by her loving brothers, Michael (Linda), James, Joseph (Lori), Frederick (Joanne) and her devoted sisters, Agnes and Cathy. She was the loving aunt of her nieces, Megan, Julia, and Jasmin, twelve other nieces and nephews, and ten great-nieces and nephews.

She will always be remembered for her generosity to family and her devotion to helping others.
The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, on Saturday, March 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Resurrection on Monday, April 1 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
