Two-for-One: Free 'Batman' Movie, Preview of Port Chester H.S.'s 'Hairspray' at The Capitol
Port Chester Community Cares Coalition hosts school break event for families
Port Chester's Capitol Theatre plays host to Port Chester High School students and their parents on March 26 for a special event with lost of entertainment.
At 6 p.m., the Port Chester High School drama club will perform a preview from its upcoming production of "Hairspray" at the high school, to be followed by a free showing of the Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises."
The event is only open to high school students and their parents. Students need to present their school IDs.

"The event space was donated by The Capitol Theatre for which we are extremely grateful," said Chelsea Bodansky, coordinator of the Port Chester Cares Community Coalition, which is organizing the event.
Drama students will be selling concessions and tickets for their show at the high school throughout the movie.

Bodansky said that volunteers are being sought to help out at the event. To volunteer, call Bodansky at 914-255-4856 or email cbodansky@fsw.org.
"We really encourage families to come together because we know that in families that spend time together, kids are less likely to drink or use drugs," Bodansky said. "The event takes place over their Spring Break so students who aren't going away can come enjoy a free movie with all their friends at The Cap instead."
