Port Chester Man Charged with Attempted Assault in Irving Avenue Incident
Police: Family member slapped, punched.

A 32-year-old Port Chester man was arrested after a family member was slapped and punched in the face, according to Port Chester Police.
Village police officers were called to an Irving Avenue home at about 4:30 p.m. on Saturday to investigate a dispute. Police said a 34-year-old Port Chester woman reported she had been slapped earlier in the day and then had been punched twice.
The woman did not need medical attention, but police said her face was sore and had red marks where she was hit.

Arturo Asencio-Martinez of Irving Avenue was charged with third-degree attempted assault in connection with the incident. He faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
