A child who was playing soccer nearby was hurt when he was struck by the victim, a 23-year-old Port Chester man, as he came off the car.

Port Chester Police Lt. James Ladeairous said the man struck by the car did not sustain life-threatening injuries, and the boy who was injured suffered bruising on his back.
The incident began Friday night when the 23-year-old man had a dispute with a 17-year-old from Nella Lane. Ladeairous said an investigation found that after the initial dispute, the 23-year-old went to the 17-year-old's home and started taking photos of the home and the family car.

A member of the family on Nella Lane called police to complain about the 23-year-old who was outside their home. Ladeairous said that when village officers arrived at Nella Lane they found the 23-year-old on the ground injured with Percy Forest standing nearby.
Ladeairous said that the 23-year-old had a cut on the lip and had teeth knocked out from being struck by the car and rolling over the top of the car. He was taken by Port Chester EMS to Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle for treatment.
When Percy Forest was questioned, Ladeairous said, he told village officers that he was fearful that the 23-year-old was going to do harm to his son or a member of his family and that he struck him with his 2012 Nissan Maxima. Police found damage to the car consistent with someone being struck, Ladeairous said.
The 9-year-old who was playing soccer nearby was unrelated to any of the parties in the original dispute. Ladeairous said the child was playing when he was hit by the 23-year-old as he came off Forest's car.
The boy was taken by his parents to Greenwich Hospital, where he was treated and later released, Ladeairous said.
During the investigation, village police found that Forest's driver's license is under suspension.
Police do not know what caused the initial dispute that led to the clash on Nella Lane.
