Port Chester Needs Crossing Guards For The Upcoming School Year

The village is looking for responsible adults who can help keep students safe as they head to and from school.

PORT CHESTER, NY — As students head back to school, the Village of Port Chester needs school crossing guards ASAP.

The part-time, seasonal school crossing guard position, requires working 2 hours per day on school days. (7:40 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.). The job pays $20 per hour.

"School Crossing Guard directs school children and pedestrians to cross the street at the crossing signal," according to the job description. "Controls vehicular traffic as necessary, consistent with the safety of all concerned to assure safe crossing for children."
