Port Chester Police Investigate Stabbing on King Street
Fight involving two different groups leaves Port Chester man with stomach wound.

Port Chester Police are investigating a street fight that left a Port Chester man with a stab wound in the stomach.
Village police learned of the stabbing when Westchester Medical Center reported at 2:30 a.m. Saturday that a 36-year-old Port Chester man was being treated for a stab wound. The victim had been taken by cab from King Street to the hospital in Valhalla.
An investigation found the victim was among a group of men who were drinking on the porch of a King Street house. The men told police that a group of teenagers walking on King Street got into a dispute with the men and a fight broke out on the sidewalk.
Witnesses told police that when the fight broke up they discovered that someone had been stabbed.
Police said the investigation was hampered on Saturday because men involved with the incident were intoxicated.
