"The goal of this club is to help students achieve academic success across all subjects," said Alissa Thompson, a math teacher who co-advises the club with Anthony Perciavalle. "It provides students with one-on-one learning, boosts their confidence with content material and enhances their social skills, creating a collaborative environment where they learn from other students rather than a teacher."
Established in 2021 by Perciavalle, who drew inspiration from a similar club during his own high school years, the Peer Tutoring Club boasts 25 tutors. They excel in a diverse range of subjects, including math, English, Spanish, history and science and offer comprehensive support for their peers.

Thompson and Perciavalle hope more students join the Peer Leadership Club, which allows students to further develop their leadership and communication skills and forge connections with their peers.
