Proposed $154M Port Chester School Budget On The Ballot May 20

Also on the ballot is one candidate vying for one seat on the Board of Education.

PORT CHESTER, NY — The 2025 budget and school board vote is May 20, and one seat is up for election on the school district board.

The proposed spending plan of $154,467,000 is 4.7 percent higher than the current budget.

The tax levy is expected to be increased 0 percent.

"The 2025-26 Proposed Budget of $154.47 million represents a $6.9 million (4.7 percent) increase, supporting the district's fiscal stability and long-term educational goals while addressing current economic challenges," district officials said. "The proposal includes no tax levy increase."

One school board seat is up for election, for a three-year term.
