Traffic Alert: Boston Post Road Lane Closures Planned This Week

PORT CHESTER, NY — A busy Westchester highway will see lane restrictions during the work week.

The New York State Department of Transportation announced that one lane of US Route 1 (Boston Post Road) southbound will be closed between Hillside Ave. in the Village of Port Chester and the Connecticut state line, beginning Monday, Dec. 4, through Friday, Dec. 8.

The daytime work for bridge repairs will take place between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. daily, weather permitting.

The NYSDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Remember, fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of your driver's license.
