Weekend Bedlam Ends With Arrest Of A Suspect Toting A Purple Ghost Gun
Port Chester police say an armed Elmsford woman managed to get inside an apartment after banging on the door, prompting an emergency call.

PORT CHESTER, NY — A tense and rapidly escalating situation this weekend was defused by Port Chester police.
On Saturday, at around 8:45 a.m., the Port Chester Police Department was notified of a disturbance that involved a woman banging on the door of a Weber Drive apartment. While officers raced to the scene, they learned that the woman had since managed to get inside the apartment and was armed with a handgun.
When cops arrived, they were able to safely evacuate the apartment occupants — with the exception of one female resident occupant and the suspect.

The resident of the apartment and suspect were acquaintances and may have some sort of relationship, according to investigators. A 34 year-old Elmsford woman, Brooke Manderson, was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
"We wish to recognize our members that responded and were able to bring this very serious situation to a safe conclusion," the Port Chester Police Department said in a statement posted to social media on Sunday evening.
