Interim Superintendent Appointed To Manhasset School District
Dr. Christopher Pellettieri begins his new position on Aug. 1.

MANHASSET, NY — The Manhasset Board of Education has named Dr. Christopher Pellettieri as the district’s interim superintendent of schools, effective Aug. 1.
Pellettieri will replace Dr. Gaurav Passi, who announced his departure earlier this month after six years of service to the district, including four as superintendent.
Pellettieri most recently served as superintendent of the Sachem Central School District. His
previous experience includes Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Rockville Centre School District.

“It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the Manhasset School Community as the interim superintendent for the upcoming school year,” said Pellettieri.” I look forward to supporting our students, empowering our educators and working closely with our families, our staff and the board of education, to continue the long standing tradition of excellence in Manhasset Schools.”
Pellettieri has also served as an adjunct professor at St. John’s University.

In their letter to the community welcoming Pellettieri, the Board of Education said:“Dr. Pellettieri’s thoughtful approach and passion for education align with the district’s values and aspirations. We are confident that Dr. Pellettieri will provide steady and inspired leadership during this transitional period."
