11 Men Accused Of Fatal Gang Violence In Crown Heights: DA

The Brooklyn District Attorney said he suspects the defendants are from two different gangs.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez has accused 11 men of conspiracy to commit murder, possession of weapons and related acts of violence in Crown Heights.

The two indictments, which the DA announced yesterday, accuse the men of being connected to 7 different shooting incidents, which killed one and injured three between May 2020 and August 2023.

The DA says that the incidents were largely retaliatory between two gangs: the Stain Gang and the Albany Gang.

The men have been charged with second-degree murder, second- and fourth-degree conspiracy, second-degree attempted murder, first- and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and related counts.

“Today’s indictments send a clear message: We will not allow our communities to be terrorized by senseless gang violence. We allege that those charged individuals have shown a blatant disregard for human life, leaving a trail of fear and devastation in their wake," Gonzalez said.

The DA suspects that seven of the defendants are members of the Stain Gang, which operates on Sterling Place, between Rochester Avenue and Buffalo Avenue, and that the other four are members of the Albany Gang, which operates out of the New York City Housing Authority Albany I & Albany II developments just blocks away.

"We are relentless in this work because New Yorkers deserve to live and work in a city free from the threat of gun violence," NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban said.

The accused men are Olujimi Lucas, Jahrell Madison, Micah Gerson, Derrick Jones, Rashilo Drew, Isaiah Foster, Deon Regis, Treaston Mcgregory, Elijah Mcdonald, Patrick Daniels and Ibrahima Barry. Most of them are in their early 20s.
