2 Charged With Murder For Killing Of Crown Heights Boy: Report

Both suspects are expected to appear in court today.

CROWN HEIGHTS, NY — Two suspects have been charged with murder for the drive-by shooting that killed 13-year-old Troy Gill in Crown Heights last February, Brooklyn Paper reports.

Jared McCauley, 21, who was the second suspect arrested, was arrested on August 14, just two weeks after the first suspect, Sheik Koureichi, 20, was arrested.

Both men are charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment, officials from the Brooklyn District Attorney's office told Brooklyn Paper.

“I commend everyone who worked on this complicated investigation and hope today’s indictment will bring a small measure of relief to Troy’s loved ones,” Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said in a statement to Brooklyn Paper.

Both suspects are expected to appear in court today.
