Crown Heights Man Arrested After Student Shooting: NYPD

Police arrested a 21-year-old man who they say shot two students near their school in Sunset Park on Tuesday.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A Crown Heights man was arrested and charged in connection to a Sunset Park shooting near a school on Tuesday that left two student injured, officials said.

21-year-old Ousmane Diallo, a Crown Heights resident, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, according to the NYPD.

Diallo was also arrested and charged last August for a Crown Heights shooting in January 2022, police told Patch.

On Tuesday at about 2:30 p.m., two students were shot inside a Fourth Avenue bodega just steps from their Sunset Park school, according to police.

The students both attend nearby P.S. 371 Lillian L. Rashkis High School and were brought to NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn in stable condition, according to the New York Post.
