Fire Erupts At Prospect Heights Key Food, FDNY Says

Firefighters battled a blaze at the Key Food Market on Flatbush Avenue and Sterling Place Wednesday morning, the FDNY said.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN – A fire erupted in local grocery store early Wednesday morning, according to the FDNY.

The blaze broke out at Jo, Brian And Joseph's Key Food Market on Flatbush Avenue and Sterling Place just before 6:40 a.m., the FDNY said.

It took about 60 firefighters almost two hours to combat the flames, which were under control by 8:20 a.m., the FDNY said.

The Fire Marshall will investigate the cause but an FDNY spokesperson said there was no indication the blaze was suspicious.
