Man Shot In Stomach Outside Crown Heights Building: NYPD

The man was shot on Albany Avenue about 6:40 Wednesday night, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A young man was shot in the stomach outside of a Crown Heights building Wednesday evening, police said.

About 6:40 p.m., a 23-year-old man was shot outside an Albany Avenue building near St. Johns Place, officials said. The man suffered at least one bullet wound to the stomach.

He was brought to Kings County Hospital in a private car, police said, and appeared to be in stable condition.

Police officials said they had no information on the shooter or any further details about the act of violence, but said the investigation remains ongoing.
