New Crown Heights Pizza Shop Serves Kosher Pies: Report

The Railroad Pizza Co is serving up Neapolitan pizza on Kingston Avenue.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A new Crown Heights pizza shop doesn't serve New York-style pizza — only fast, tasty, Neapolitan pies, according to a local news site.

Railroad Pizza Co, located at 227 Kingston Ave., offers Kosher pies at lightning speed, according to COLLive.com.

Owner Levi Aronow told the website that he was bit by the pizza bug while learning the art from his brother, who runs a popular pizza catering service that brings portable pizza ovens to events.

The Neapolitan pies need only 90 seconds in the oven, the website states, while a New York minute can last nearly 10.

Customers order from a kiosk inside of the shop and wait only a few minutes for their pies to appear, the news site says.

Aronow told COLLive that a woman came in the other night and ordered four pizzas. "She was out the door in nine minutes," he said.

Railroad Pizza also offers online ordering and delivery.

Additionally, Aronow shared with COLLive that they have plans to open a second location on East New York and Schenectady Avenue.
