Patch Pet Patrol: Have You Seen Riley in Crown Heights?

The missing Crown Heights pup escaped her collar Tuesday during a walk.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Have you seen Riley? The 8-year-old lhasa apso (pictured above) was being walked on Sep. 13 when she apparently pulled out of her collar and ran away.

Her owner, Scott, said Riley was spotted running down Rogers Avenue. Scott was also told that a man was seen picking up a small white dog near the Pizza Hut at the intersection of Empire Boulevard and Bedford Avenue — meaning that Riley may already be in someone's home.

Scott told Patch that he's had Riley, a rescue, since last November. She weighs about 15 pounds, will respond to her name, and is "very lovely and kind."

"She's a friendly dog, [and] she's extremely chill," Scott said. "We knew her as a grandma. She's a very casual, calm dog."

Witnesses told Scott that Riley was seen running through the neighborhood's streets, which made him think she must have been afraid of something.
