PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — As the holiday season approaches, BKLYN Commons is getting a head start.

This Thursday — a bit over a week before Small Business Saturday — the Open Desk Small Business Pop-Up returns to BKLYN Commons, an event where shoppers and business owners alike can find a lot going on.

Sponsored by Metro Health Plus and NY Beauty Suites, the festive event will showcase a wide array of over 40 local vendors who will show off and sell their crafts and wares to the public in an open marketplace.

“We are so proud and excited to partner with BKLYN Commons for their 6th Annual Open Desk: Small Business Pop-Up,” said Keisha Daniels, Brand Partnerships and Experiential Marketing Manager at Metro Plus Health.

This year's festivities will also include a speed-networking station facilitated by United Way, CAMBA’s annual Pitch Competition, and a local visual art experience featuring art from local creatives.

Attendees can also sign up for one-on-one counseling on site with the New York City Small Business service center to help navigate qualifying for a Minority Business and Woman Enterprise certification.

BKLYN Commons, a sort-of community based WeWork type business hub, is located in the old Bond Bakery building at 495 Flatbush Ave. The party starts at 5 p.m. on Nov. 17.
