Sure Sign of Spring: Uncle Louis G Reopens on Park Place

Out with the soup and in with the soft serve as ice cream shop opens for the summer season.

Prospect Heights might have another nine days of winter, but everywhere there are signs of spring. 

There are flowers peaking through the snow, an extra hour of daylight, and spring fashions in the shops.   

But nothing marks the change in season as forcefully as when Uncle Louis G. replaces the soup shop on Park Place just off Flatbush Avenue.

The shop opened for business yesterday and will stay open through the end of the fall. 

So for fans of the 14-year-old company's “rainbow cookie” ices and apple pie a la mode, your wait is over.
