PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, BROOKLYN — Locals are organizing a boycott against a Brooklyn bar after a patron reported she was attacked by a man as workers did nothing to help her, then refused when she asked owners for evidence to take to police.

The Zombie House on Flatbush Avenue and Woodruff Avenue has spurred outrage in the community after Pix11 News reported a woman was drenched in beer and shoved to the floor by a strange man who was allowed to walk away on Sept. 21.

"Nobody helped me and nobody called the cops," Mykeena Garcia said. "I want to share my story for other women because I do feel like it's going to happen again."

Garcia told Pix11 that her efforts to seek justice after the assault were curtailed by Zombie House owners who repeatedly refused to hand over surveillance footage to police.

A bar representative disputed Garcia's claims that owners refused to hand over surveillance footage, saying the bar gave it to both Garcia and Brooklyn's 70th precinct.

Now organizers from Equality for Flatbush are organizing a boycott against the tiki bar which they say appropriates Caribbean culture and ignores complaints from women who report assaults.

Protesters will gather for a speak out event Monday at noon to demand owners turn over surveillance footage to police.
