7 People Injured In Separate Queens Crashes: Police
The second crash happened near Lefferts Avenue and Liberty Boulevard in South Ozone Park on Thursday.

QUEENS, NY — Seven people were injured in separate crashes in Queens on Thursday, police said.
The first incident happened near 35th Avenue and 37th Street in Astoria around 5:30 p.m.
A 35-year-old driver was driving near the corner of 35th Avenue when she lost control of her Nissan Versa and drove onto the sidewalk, hitting two children and a 58-year-old woman, police said.

The three victims were taken to a local hospital for their injuries, police said.
The driver, Salmata Bah, was arrested at the scene and later charged with reckless driving and driving without a license.

The second crash happened around 7 p.m. near Liberty Avenue and Lefferts Avenue in South Ozone Park.
A 79-year-old driver who was turning left onto Liberty crashed and struck four women at a nearby bus stop after apparently sideswiping a parked bus, police said.
The four women were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening, police said.
