Knife-Wielding Thief Robs 2 Women Over 2 Days In Queens: NYPD

In his latest heist, the man robbed a 71-year-old woman outside her home and stole thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry, police say.

QUEENS, NY -- Cops believe a man who robbed an elderly woman at knifepoint outside her Queens home is the same thief who held up another woman in a nearby bank just two days earlier.

Cops are still searching for the man, who they said pulled out a knife on a 71-year-old woman heading back to her home in Ozone Park and demanded her money at around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 24. Standing right outside her home near Glenmore Avenue and 76th Street, the man held a knife to the woman as he stole $6,300 worth of jewelry and $100 in cash from her, police told Patch.

The man then bolted with his stolen goods in an unknown direction, leaving the woman unharmed, police said.
