QUEENS, NY — A pedestrian died after two hit-and-run drivers struck him along a Queens road, police said.

The as-yet-unidentified man was found Sunday night at a Queens Village intersection, suffering severe body trauma, authorities said.

Police believe the man walked across Hempstead Avenue from 223rd Street when the first crash occurred about 8 p.m., NYPD officials said.

A light-colored sedan headed west on Hempstead Avenue first struck the man, police said. Another vehicle — a light-colored SUV — then hit the man as he was injured in the road, authorities said.

Neither driver stayed at the scene, police said.

A 911 call brought officers to the crash scene, where medics pronounced the man deceased, officials said.

The hit-and-runs remain under investigation, police said.
