Man Shot To Death On NYC Street, Police Say

The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.

QUEENS, NY — A 19-year-old man was shot to death on a Queens street Tuesday evening, police said.

The incident happened in front of 1726 George Street around 5:45 p.m in Ridgewood, police said.

Officers found Kevin Hernandez with a gunshot wound to the torso. The victim was transported to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests as of Wednesday morning. A description of a possible shooter was not readily available.

An investigation remains ongoing.
