Man Stabbed To Death In Far Rockaway, Police Say

The victim got in a fight with the ex-boyfriend of a woman he was apparently visiting, according to a police source.

FAR ROCKAWAY, QUEENS — A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in connection with the Wednesday night stabbing of a Far Rockaway man, police said.

Police found Victor Cordero, 41, with a stab wound in his torso around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in an apartment building on Seagirt Avenue near Beach Sixth Street, the NYPD said.

The stabbing stemmed from a domestic dispute, police said. The alleged attacker, an ex-boyfriend of a woman living at the building, got in a fight with Cordero, who answered the door to her apartment, a police source said.

Cordero, who lived about half a mile away on Beach 17th Street, was taken to Saint John's Hospital and pronounced dead there, the NYPD said.

Anthony Fraser of Seaside faces charges of manslaughter, assault and criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the crime, police said Friday.
